Isn't one of the things that make our Audi's better than the Jap. cars
the longevity you can still expect from a properly modified I5? I can't
imagine that a 600hp supra is going to last much more than a year at
those hp levels.
Also, I think that the people, meaning professional Audi tuners, here in
the states, as a general rule overprice their parts/work. I don't
believe Audi's are any harder to work on than a Supra and don't see why
us Audi people should pay a premium for such work. Of course, this
comes from a guy who won't take his cars to a mechanic for anything save
tires and alignment, which even that gives me nightmares, so I speak
from an outside standpoint, knowing what others pay to have their cars
worked on. If we don't like the dollars/hp ratio that we get out of our
Audi's, we should stop paying the people who set the dollars/hp ratio.
