4 weeks ago, I was at the VW-Audi Club Norwegen's annual meeting. On this
meeting was a Swedish gentleman with an Audi TT which Hans Dahlbäck, the
creator of the 900 hp Golf, had tuned to about 470 hp intentionally for track
racing. Now, the TT owner told me that he had driven this Golf. It was like a
rocket, he told me. Just point the direction with the steering wheel, then
press the throttle and wooosh, you were there. No chance of correcting point
of travel while under full boost! Still, while on the track (Kinnekulle Ring),
the Golf was only 2 secs faster than his TT, due to the fact that his TT had
better curve speed.
Best part was that the TT owner had same first name as me, Per Henrik :-)
