I'm not sure of the Caravelle. The Dauphine and 4CV had quite rounded
lines. The Dauphine was the fancy version of the 4CV. The 4CV was
very similar to the VW Bug. Both of these were made in the late '50s.
Both the 4CV and Dauphine had a 4 cyl water cooled engine in the rear
behind the transaxle.
Wasn't the Caravelle a good bit later?
Speaking of French cars of that vintage, the one to have was the Simca Océan
which was the low convertable model of the Simca Aronde.
