fuel question

People have filled almost empty gasoline vehicle tanks with
diesel....usually the car will run like crap and die.  A good cleaning, a
few components replaced and that's it.  When gasoline is introduced into
a Diesel it's another story, you can consider yourself very lucky if you
get by without major engine damage.  A few tablespoons...ha...in some
countries with subsidized diesel the "premium" gasoline available is
sometimes cut 20% with diesel.
