The time has come, I'm afraid ...

1986 Audi 4000 CS quattro ... 210,000 miles, black, 5 speed, three working
doors, standard cloth interior ... lots of new parts over the last 18
months, including:

- rear brake calipers/pads/rotors (less than 50 miles)
- master cylinder (less than 10 miles)
- alternator
- starter
- exhaust
- radiator
- thermo switch
- battery
- fuel pump
- shocks and springs (upgraded to 20v quattro springs - stiffer and taller)
- front brakes (pads & rotors) done last fall

Four almost-new BF Goodrich Comp T/As on it now, also have four mounted,
studded snow tires that come with it.

After doing two wheel bearings (front), the rear brakes, the master cylinder
and replacing a smashed rear window, the clutch slave cylinder appears to
have failed. Please - someone buy this before I sink more money into it.

If I had the space, I'd strip it and part it out, but I don't and need to
get rid of it ASAP. Don't let me send all these parts to the junkyard.

Motor, transmission and diffs are all in excellent working condition. Except
for the slave cylinder, actually, the car runs great. But I'm finally
heeding the signs.

Car is in Utica, N.Y. Drop me a note at mej at mejphoto.com for more info or
inquiries. It's worth about a grand as a tax write off to me, come close to
that and it's yours.
