fuel mixture woes,kinda long

Hi all. 
 Since I've gotten my ur-q running, I've noticed that at times it pings under 
boost and will switch itself to running rich by itself. When it is in rich 
mode, it won't idle, but otherwise runs OK. When I had the air box apart, I 
loosened the adjustment screw to the point where it came out all the way and 
I used slick 50 to help me get it back in easily. Could the adjustment screw 
be turning by itself from vibration? I can keep adjusting it, but that's a 
PIA!
Second, my 4kq is running WAY rich! To the point of wet black soot coming out 
of the tail pipe. This happened suddenly and I was able to find some worn 
hoses and a crack in the air boot. Replaced them and it still does it. Also, 
duty cycle is stuck on 71%. What should I look for?
