dash lights don't work wiht headlights?

I've got the same problem on my 88 90Q. I just drive without them. BTW...I
replaced both lic. plate lamps, so I know it's either the switch (not
likely), the bulb in the dash (I hope), or a relay. Are there any other
bulbs in the circuit that could be causing this?

Hi Rich,
This is the same "trick" I was trying to describe on my 5k. On my car
the final fix was to replace the burned out license plate bulb. The 5k
has a few of these lil' "quirks"; I don't know about the 4k.
