The police edition Impala has the same powertrain as the standard issue, pretty much. So the performance is about the same...very sad.

I spoke with a local police officer a few months ago in the parking lot of
a hardware store. He had a new Impala police cruiser. According to him, all
of the officers absolutely hated the new Impalas. My perception was that
the complaints were about everything including interior space and
performance.

Does anyone know what performance the police-edition of the Impala has?
