overheating

steve,

have you checked/tested the fan switch[es] and connections? perhaps theres
an intermittent connection? do all your radiator speeds work [easy test]?
are you sure the gauge is right? perhaps your multi sensor is screwy?

or the flushing dislodged all sorts of crud thats now sticking your tstat
shut? or clogged the rad?

im curious as to why you kept topping up the coolant? if its not leaking, it
shouldnt need topping up..
