driving Fast [re: C5 racing]

The only time I ever go to that type of speed and maintained it over many
miles was in a BMW 520i, driving from Munich to Frankfurt. I was at 240
kph, and the car could not go any faster. Two cars did pass me - an S-class
MB and a Porsche 928. Wow. That was quite an experience. The car was
quite stable and did not waver at all.

Someone, probably on that thread elsewhere, mentioned that getting "up to"
150
mph or so is one thing, because the acceleration tends to stabilize the car.
But then,
when you try to "maintain" that level of speed, things get very light and
scary.

So, that's probably another problem, someone getting caught off guard once
they let
up on the go pedal after reaching speed, even just going in a straight line.
