Igor Kessel was telling us last weekend that around Moscow there's a
12 lane divided highway that runs around the city in a circle. There
are automatic traffic cameras.
It's turned into a sport; the challenge is to get the highest speed
ticket you possibly can, because, after all...it's verified and
documented. The practice is apparently encouraged by Moscow police,
who post the top 10 speeders on their website.
The $ from the tickets probably pays to keep the patrol cars going, why not...
