Cupped Tire

    Howdy.  I swapped over to the 16" summer setup today and when I popped
the left rear tire off I found a badly cupped tire, only in two spots
though.  I have had a vibration under braking and driving above 60mph,
assumed it was a wheel out of balance.  Everything in the suspension is
tight as could be.  Would it be safe to assume that the left rear was sorely
out of balance?  I don't see any missing weights or marks from a weight
taking off.

    When I took the car for a test run after fitting the 16" I still noticed
a vibration at 60mph and some vibration under braking, but minimized.  I did
discover a tie rod end with a busted boot, but it feels tight.  I guess it's
time for that alignment and replace that tie rod...

    Not too mention but now that the European bumpers are on with the 16"
the car looks quite silly, almost doubled in ride height to the naked eye.
Maybe get those coilover parts ready to go before the alignment:)
