I got a chance to crawl under the car after I got
out of work and cleaned everything off well with brake
clean
I let the car idle in the drive way for a while and
didn't notice any drip of oil so I went for a ride
around the block,
and noticed oil in the area of the oil temp gauge
sender
it looks like it's dripping down from the housing that
the oil sender is screwed into, it looks like it's
seeping through the oil temp housing and the block it
looks like there are 3 hex, head bolts that attach it
to the block and a paper gasket
could the gasket be bad or is it now more than likely
the crank seal which would mean a timing belt job?!
It's just hard to tell cause the alternator pulley
and main pulley are rite there and oil is being shot
all over the front under side if everything.
So it could be one of these things,
1) oil temp gauge sender leaking
2) crank seal which means a timing belt job
3) gasket joining the oil temp housing and block
any additional help would be great.
Thanks
Ron
