Oil pressure sender 90 Q

It seems like the oil pressure sender is leaking (1988 90 Q with an oil
gauge).  So UAP partsman tells me there is a color code on those - black
and plain, both expensive, though - $160 or $180 CAN.  What does the plain
color look like to the naked eye?  Any cheaper alternatives?  I remeber for
a 944 it was about $80 for that thing.
