Nor did I when I started mine. As you'd know if you'd done one yourself, it's easy with a web
site because there are only three browsers in widespread use. As I have now explained at
least ten times - the problem with WAP is handset diversity (at least FIFTY different
browsers) and I wanted to contact the owners of as many types as possible. That's done, and
the last three exchanges about it on this list have been a complete waste of bandwidth.

The Torsen list is irrelevant. It is and was useless for my purpose (as stated above) because
very few people subscribe to it - I wouldn't have go to the diversity. It is and was
pointless for a WAP technical discussion because there are excellent resources on Usenet.
People here are interested in Audis, not WAP presentation devices and their programming
quirks. The best Usenet resources are in German because of the application depth over there.

Reaction from those who've played with the technology - especially in GPRS form - has ranged
from general approval to raving enthusiasm.

Audi is now shipping cars with integrated WAP devices.

I don't see that whether or not it works in the USA is relevant - this is not a US-only list.

But you're flat wrong again. I have three testers using WAP handsets in the USA.

Contribute something, Scott. Take up entering data into one of the spreadsheets we need to
build the .WML files. See http://www.isham-research.com/wap.html - which is where you'll find
the technical thoughts so far.
