A4,
It is not cheap. I suggest you go to www.specialstage.com and post your q=
uestion there. There are a lot of more experienced people that can help you.
However, I can give you an idea.
It all depends on the level you want to go. I have a target of 4 Club Ral=
lies and 4 RallyX a year.
Not counting the car(which can run from as little as $2.5k to $40k), you=
have to budget:
1. Entry Fee ($250-300/event, pro event are way more expensive now)
2. Tires ($250-500/ 4 events, the best go-fast investment in rally)
3. Towing of your car (rent trailer, rent truck $70-100/day X 3-4 days)
4. Gas for the car($) and the tow vehicle($$$)
5. Hotel, food for you and potential crew
6. Spare parts for the car during and after the event (yes, rally =3D bro=
ken parts =3D $$$)
I budget $850/event.
If you go to a pro level, then the price tag rises exponentially, like ti=
res at each service, $4k suspensions, huge spares list, etc.
I hope this gives you a view of this very expensive sport.
Oh! I forgot to tell you that once you cross the line, there is no coming=
back. You will be hooked for life.
Cheers,
Carlos.
