I have Farmers Insurance and have $50 deductible for glass. My Farmers
told me they pay a set price for windshields depending on the car make and
model.
For the Auidi 5000/200 it was approx. $1400. Have you ever seen ads on TV
by the installers trying to get you business. There is one here in the Seattle
that's giving
away 25 meals at a Dennys type restaurant if you have them install the glass.
They make
allot of money off each windshield especially if the is cheap glass. They
tried installing Satellite n my wife's Acura 3.5RL and I had to make them go
back and get Libby/Nipon glass which is good glass. All windshields meet DOT
regs but the better glass exceeds the those regs where the cheaper glass just
meets them.
