Listers,

I don't usually get involved in these, but recent times and my particular
field has led me to feel that I can't leave this alone....

Having switched to digest mode, and having been reading in digest mode
(no time)
I hadn't taken the time to fully investigate this thread until I've seen
other lister's pleas
for tolerance.

And that truely is the case, we need tolerance.

I know we all are undergoing serious stresses (hopefully occasional), I
know this personaly right now.
I know that sometimes we let stress get the best of us. But, let us not
make this into a "war" there seems
to be enough intolerant people having enough wars (hopefully THIS won't
offend anyone), does the Middle
East ring any bells?

We don't need this type of war in our pleasures (the list, of course)
too.

Here's the deal.

1) Everyone has something to contribute to the list. Some do more than
others. Consider the postings as CONTRIBUTIONS
to the community, nothing more, nothing less.

2) LISTEN and WAIT to respond to what listers have to say. If you don't
like it, discard it and go on. If you can offer a different point of
view, offer a different point of view. There is no need to pick apart the
original poster's CONTRIBUTION, just make one of your own. Let the READER
decide on what they wish to believe. And by waiting you may well see some
merits in another's arguments.

3) Lister's read and take what you want. Believe in what you want. You
will seek information from whom you will most likely believe.

It cetainly would be a shame to lose either Phil or Scott or even worse,
Dan and all of his work over what, in the major scheme of life is
actually a rather minor point. If anyone needs to take a break, it may
not be such a bad thing, breaks can sometimes help things. I guess at
least here we can acutally broker a real cease fire. Back off, relax and
realize that any particular post is not likely to produce a life and
death situation that they need to be protected from. Let the reader's
decide and be done with it.

I hope, for the greater good, that everyone can relax and stay with us.
Good luck to us all....

Thanks for listening...

LL - NY
