Multi-Function Switch/Temperature Sender, '88 5KSQ

This question is in regard to the infamous 4 pronged multi-function
switch/temperature sender.  The upside down one on the head where the top
radiator hose goes.  The one that breaks every year or so.  The one that
leaks.  The one with the rubber protective cap that collects the leaks and
makes a real mess.  Know the one I mean?

How do I replace its 4 pin connector?  After years of leaking, it's a real
mess.  I don't see how any electricity could get conducted in there.  Can
you buy that connector from Audi?  Can you buy the little tiny pins that go
in there?  How do you disconnect the little tiny pins from the existing
connector?
