You don't really say HOW the compressor failed. The
alloy that the body and pistons of the Nippon
compressors are made of seem very soft. In a "hard"
failure, lot's of shrapnel get's sent through the
system. Just install another compressor and it's
bound to fail. You can remove some components and
hoses and flush them to check. If you find alot of
silvery particles, I feel you should disassemble as
much as possible and power flush/vac the system down.
You'll have much better long term results. While the
R/D has lot's of dessicant capacity, it is also a
great trap for crap. Change it.
