<< Mark was referring to 5th gear not 4th, so aerodynamics was my first guess,
particularly since it only seems to affect top gear at high revs...
gas flow issues, and most other engine power issues would affect all gears
 and only be rev dependant...

does the power drop suddenly, or does it just start to gradually struggle
as the revs (and speed) get higher...
CGTs have quite tall gearing IIRC, and aerodynamics become a consideration
 at higher speeds...

my stock CGT had no power at all in 5th, but would slowly pull to redline
 in 4th...
the drag will drain a LOT of power as the speeds get substantial...

just my thoughts, no turbo experience here... >>

Common, though, guys - 4000RPMS in 5th? I do that regularly in both cars.
Redline in 4th is around 100 - shift into 5th and you should be right at
4000rpms. If you can't go over that with a turbo or without one, something
is wrong with the car.

later!
