I meant to write "front vs. rear", rather than "center vs.
rear".  These darn keyboards, inputting what I type instead of
what I mean.

I agree with what you wrote.  See below for potentially more
than one "ratio" being relevant.

Cool.  Someone mentioned there potentially being a different
ratio between the "front" and rear diffs, which might cause
weird stuff in while turning.  I forget what the ratio was
called, but it was related to how much slip was allowed.
