subject line mingling

They're actually horribly inefficient because Google is easily
confused; it considers the links at the top+bottom to be perfectly
valid for matching keywords.  Futher, Google is also designed for
matching based on the amount of linking; sites which are linked to by
many -other- sites or pages are considered "better"; that kind of
ranking is almost completely worthless on static HTML based archives,
because -all- the messages have many links between them as well as
the index page.

Don't worry...the new archive system should be far more promising,
you'll be able to search based on date range, author, subject line
contents, and message body contents...maybe even more(super top
secret features on the drawing board :-)
