"Rallying, racing and red hot tyres"
 From 1 March until 14.June 2002, the Audi Forum Ingolstadt is showing the special exhibition
"Rallying, racing and red hot tyres-Audi quattro in motor sport" on the temporary
 exhibition floor of the museum mobile. On show will be motor sport vehicles from the years
1981-1999. "quattro", the buzz word in motor racing in the 1980s, is associated with
 names such as Michèle Mouton, Walter Röhrl or Hans-Joachim Stuck. Together with the Audi quattro
they wrote motor sport history. This special exhibition presents the
 "original quattro" from the world of motor sport, the Audi quattro from 1981, as well as other
successful vehicles such as the Audi Sport quattro S1 Pikes Peak from 1986 (on
 show from 8 March), the Audi 200 quattro TransAm from 1988 or the Audi 90 IMSA GTO from 1989. In
1990 Audi took part in the most attractive touring car series in the
 world, the German Touring Car Championship (DTM) and won the title in its very first year. As well
as this vehicles, exhibits include the Audi 80 competition from 1994, the
 Audi A4 STW form 1995 and one of the Audi R8R racing cars with which Audi made its debut in the Le
Mans 24 Hours in 1999 capturing third and fourth place. Films about each
 racing car bring the special exhibition in the museum mobile to life and show the cars at full
speed in the midst of a race.
