Sounds like the dealership has a problem, not you, to be perfectly honest.
Calmly point to the part in the shop manual where it specifies 85 ft
lb(at least that's what it is for the 200q20v), hand them the keys
and wish them luck, and mention that you want a new lug nut, thank
you very much.
There is NO excuse these days. All they have to do is stick a torque
stick on the end of the impact wrench(they're calibrated to
twist/"give" at a certain torque), and no matter how hard they try,
the lads won't be able to overtorque the bolts. The tire place that
installed my Hakka Q's did this to about 75 or 80 ft lb, then
hand-torqued it to 85.
