Possible Mod to AC System. Is it a good idea?

Unfortunatley on the coupes and 4000's the A/C evap only draws air from inside the car. The big plastic thingy under the hood behind the glove box in the engine compartment acts as a diverter for air flow when the A/C is on the recir flap is closed which forces air to flow from the lower passenger footwell through the evap and into the blower motor through the heater core and out through the vents. With the recirc flap open air will take the path of least resistance flowing from the outside past (not through) the evap to the blower through the heater core and out through the vents. So to answer your question, You would have to somehow duct outside air to the bottom of the evap to make it happen.
