Hope this is of some help to you:
I just picked up my '89 200 quattro Avant from "the shop."  Just a local
garage, not a dealer or German-car specialist or anything.
I had two rear wheel bearings, two rear struts, and one lower control arm
bushing installed. I got the parts mailorder from our q-list vendors (TPC and
Megaparts, fwiw). And then had a 4-wheel alignment done to straighten it all
out. Cost me just under $450. for everything - labor only, of course.
