best way to remove exhaust manifold without breaking studs.

you're kidding, right?
luck i guess.
seriously though, i would remove the intake first for more access.
but be prepared to pull the head if you are not experienced in stud removal
i had the whole motor out of my car so i loaded it up and took it to the
machine shop.
cost was around $55 well worth it IMO this was new studs installed and old
ones removed.

someone else on the list said that you can weld onto the studs and get them
out.
