4k taking on water

[The Loves]

The 4kq has water leaking into it just below the driver's side pillar at the
windshield.
The water is coming down the carpet at the hood release location when
sitting or driving. The glass people say they really don't think it is the
seal at the windshield.
Could the sunroof drain be the culprit? If so, where does it drain to?
The door seals are fine as far as I can tell.
Any help on this matter is greatly appreciated.
I'm going to tear into it tomorrow anyway but any directions would help
(like how to remove the pillar trim?)
