FW: NAC - AVG Anti-Virus

Agreed with Mark.

On my home desktop I didn't even bother about installing an anti-virus
software (actually one of them that I tried 2 years ago used to slow the PC
and made it run like crap) and it's been 2 and a half years since I've been
on DSL with no other protection than a physical firewall with no viruses
whatsoever. Using Eudora also helps identifying attached files better than
MS 'Lookout for viruses' as I dubbed it because it displays the files
extensions. It's simply a matter of knowing who you can trust and of
knowing what you can click on and what you can't.
Emails that come from a person I know of like 'dans' or 'JShadzi' or even
'mik' are deleted instantly as it's become pretty obvious that the latest
Klez stuff going on simply uses the "name" before the @ in the address for
using as the person it comes from... Not very inteligent but I think lots
of people got it like that....

On my work laptop (which I am using now), the company's IT manager forced
me to install McAffee or whatever it's called and I simply disable it at
every startup :-) Of course at work I have to use 'Lookout for viruses' but
I guess that I won't be getting a virus before long, except if that crappy
MS thang opens the attachments without asking for it (which I don't think
it does)

Well, that's just MY opinion and I never said "don't use MS OLE" or
whatever, it's just that you're taking more risks with it.... :-)
