You have a 90Q, right?  That connector is *supposed* to be mounted in a
nifty little bracket on the edge of the battery tray, somewhat like the
one that holds the OXS plugs on the side of the head.  Of course your
zip tie is probably fine, but maybe some previous mech. simply ignored
the nice stock mounting point... leading to your current troubles...?

As long as your engine is happy and not knocking, you can also unplug
the KS if it is creating spurious signals resulting in unnecessary
timing retards.
