Uh, no snippage, this is just too rich...
I once drove my '76 Vega across town to the garage that diagnosed the
faulty oil pressure switch ($2) that stopped the fuel pump from running
with gasoline supplied by a lawnmower gas tank right over the carb, and
a steady stream of gas that allowed me to sort of drive in 2nd if I kept
the throttle open.
Don't ever remember having to "limp" an Audi along like that though.
But then my memory ain't what it used to be...
