I've been wondering about getting rid of the climate control. A few
vacuum valves, a cable or two and potentiometer ought to do the
trick, and then I could set the fan on medium whenever I want.
If you're strong (and so is your fire wall) then you could ditch the
hydraulics altogether. I know from personal experience that a 4kq can
easily lock all 4 tires without power assist, so a 5k should be OK.
The basic problem with these ideas is that they will take time to set
up, so why not just do the maintainence?
