Well, when I was running my 4ktq with stock boost and a K24 turbo (as fitted
to the UrS4 and 200 20vt) I ran about 8 seconds 0-60 with 4 people in the car
with my Gtech (AKA getto tech) pro. Not bad for ~5 psi boost. That was with
some port and polish work on the head and slightly larger than stock pistons.
I anticipate much more performance from the car once I have it back up and
running again with 034efi (http://www.034efi.com) and a bigger turbo. The
nice thing about the K24 was that it offered quick spool up, the downside
being that the maximum performance is limited due to the smaller turbine.
As a side note if I had to do it all over again I would choose a type 89
(80/90/20v coupe) over the type 85 (4000/coupe/urq). The type 89 is just
"better" in a lot of ways that make it a better turbo candidate. The benefit
of the type 85 is that they are probably more readily available for less $$.
I'm working on a re-made website of info on the project. Once the car is
back together I'll be sure to post the URL.
Hope that helps.
