Can I use et37 offset wheels on a 1987 Coupe GT?

I use 15"x7.5 with a et 37 on my 84 cgt, they are shod in 205/50 (maybe
55's, cant remember at the moment), I do however have chafing with 2 or
more in the back (only one side mind, I think it could be due to different
tyres, slightly different profiles maybe) i would recommend rolling the rear
arches, it makes the car look very mean from behind, being as the track is
quite substantially increased!.
