stuck brushes on blower motor

The intermittent fresh air blower on my 87 5KTQ was a stuck brush on the
motor, the one that you can see with the vent tube pulled off the plastic
shroud. I'd like to pull the motor and clean things up. How does the
motor come out? It looks like you remove the plenum via the three screws
(and one of them is well hidden under the plenum, I guess.) Other than the
circlip at the end of the motor where the electrical connector is, what
holds the motor in place? The diagram in the manual shows three bearing
like segments. Where are they and what happens if I try to slide the motor
out the way I just described?

Thanks,
