You might as well just replace it and do the heater core as well while
you're there.

The intermittent fresh air blower on my 87 5KTQ was a stuck brush on the
motor, the one that you can see with the vent tube pulled off the
plastic shroud. I'd like to pull the motor and clean things up. How
does the motor come out? It looks like you remove the plenum via the
three screws (and one of them is well hidden under the plenum, I guess.)
Other than the circlip at the end of the motor where the electrical
connector is, what holds the motor in place? The diagram in the manual
shows three bearing like segments. Where are they and what happens if I
try to slide the motor out the way I just described?
