The motor is supported/retained partially by the three bearing surfaces
that are part of a motor housing that often stays in the box when you
extract the motor, so you need to look for/remove it too or you'll never
get the motor back in.   I pushed the motor out by sticking a wood dowel in
the electric contacts end, I think.  You need to remove the plenum (third
screw toward the bottom is a tough one) AND pry up on the front of the box
to get sufficient clearance for removing the motor and fan assembly.   A
stiff-bladed putty knife helped me loosen the adhesive seal around the box
so I could pry it up enough to get the motor out.  I had to disconnect the
hoses to the heater core so that the box would come up enough.
