hehhe cause everything you need in NE is less than 2 hours away :) Unlike
other parts of the country. I remember when I 1st was stationed out in
California at Vandenberg AFB, my boss was going out for a trip for the day
on the weekend, I asked him where he was going. I don't remember where it
was, but I do remember it was a 4 hour 1 way trip and that was just for the
DAY!
I don't really have a problem driving long distances, I'll be at the Mt
Washington Hillclimb this year and thats 3+ hours for me, its just like Josh
said, doesnt seem like alot of people will want to drive 3+ hours JUST to
hang out. If it was something like an event at a track or some sort of
show, I could see that, but just to go someplace, have dinner and gawk at
each others cars isn't really something I want to drive 3hours each way for.
I'm sure you will get plenty of NY/PA/NJ listers going to something like
that and some of the western MA/VT/CT listers as well. Just cause you dont
have EVERYONE in the NE doesn't mean that you wont have a good time. I
think what we could do is also have one after the NY one and that way people
have a choice.

Why do the people in the NE _NEVER_ want to drive anywhere?
I'm all up for the original get together idea in Rhinebeck NY. why dont you
NEasters all come west this time.
