1- Someone else said it first but it stuck with me -"if you don't have the
time, money or inclination to work on cars, then you shouldn't be driving an
older Audi." I factor in the time and money as part of the cost of ownership
for this particular vehicle.
2- Absolutely right. I would love to drive a newer Audi, as a matter of fact
I do that very often in my sleep (it's a lowered yellow S8 with 4 turbos, 6
spd, 17 inch 3 spoke wheels, and a very tasteful rear spoiler :)). but I
simply haven't been able to justify the cost to myself. Having said that, I
once had a pretty good luck at a basic newer A4Q and came away preferring
my current 86 5KTQ.
How best to put it...
For me, owning my Audi is a lifestyle decision, more so than a
transportation or financial decision.
Regards
Stephane
