Hi Ron,

If you have not seen Scott Mockry's excellent web site, you need to check it
out:
http://www.sjmautotechnik.com/

I am certain your 5ktq has more than one problem. You will need to work you
way through the debugging process. Your car should see 1.4 bar if all the
electronics and hoses are working correctly. Don't imagine for a moment
that just because your car is old or has a few miles that you are doing well
to see 1.2 bar.

As Stacey pointed out, your Michelin Man Hose is likely to have a leak.
That hose is not hard to remove or install. Take it out and inspect it.
Oil pools at he low side of the hose. The rubber gets thin and gets cracks
down there. Your stumble might well be due to a bad Michelin Man Hose. If
you don't know the lingo, the Michelin Man Hose is also known as the
Intercooler to Throttle Body hose (IC to TB hose). It's a ribbed hose that
looks like the Michelin Man, sort of :-)

If you can't get above 1.2 bar, you likely have a problem with you idle/WOT
switch or Multifunction sensor. Scott's site details how the check these
items. If you get stuck or confused, write to the list, we'll help :-)

Best,
