first S4 drive

My search for an s-car began with a black S4 at a
dealership in connecticut somewhere.

The interior was creme or beige and by the looks of
it, the previous owner was  a slob.  I did several
acceleration runs with the saleslady and my wife and
kid in the back.  I too was underwhelmed by the
performance.

Reporting back to the list, I was told to keep test
driving other cars to get a better feel for what the
breed is supposed to drive like.

My next test drive was for a 200Q20v going for half
the price of the S4 but still a lofty price of $12k 3
years ago.  I was very impressed by the acceleration
and can now say that S4 was not making boost. I made
that 200Q20v mine and still love the kick it gives me
when I push it.

There were plenty of signs that s4 was not taken care
of and finer examples were easy to find for the same
price.  I still prefer the interior of the S4 to my
200Q20v but I have more interior space so it's a toss
up.
