The lubricant that I've found works best on the ebrake cams is FluidFilm.
Don't know what's in it (says "wool wax formula" whatever that means), but
it displaces water, creeps like crazy, doesn't get sticky or dry out, and
stays put. Cleaning up the cam shafts and lubing well with FluidFilm is good
for a year of trouble-free operation. By then the cams are getting sticky
and it's time for another service. I think the only thing that would really
fix this problem would be stainless steel cam shafts.
I've tried motorcycle chain lube and anti-corrosion lubes on the cams, but
FluidFilm has worked the best so far.
