a/c belt will -not- go on

I bought a set of belts from TPC a year ago for my 5ktq.  One was too long,
and the A/C belt was too short.  Annoying, but in line with my factory spec
belt experience on other cars.  I wound up taking the old belts and getting
equivalent Gates belts at the FLAPS.
