Turbo oil & cooling lines

Ben, that turbo uses a T3 center section. The oil in is a 1/8" NPT, the oil
out uses any T3 oil outlet flange, also available from turbonetics for cheap.
That bolts onto the turbo, and allows a 1/2" npt fitting to thread into it.
Both water lines are 3/8" npt, any old brass fittings and 3/8" rubber hose
will do the trick. The problem about having lines made is that they will not
really know how long to make them, etc.

You won't really be able to reuse the factory oil lines, the stock water
lines can easily be chopped off on the ends, and fitted with rubber hose and
clamps. On 80tq I made up some fancy AN lines which you can see most of at:
http://www.80tq.com/turbo.html

But not necessary to go that route, more expensive and compilcated that using
hose clamps, etc. The only oil line that is really pressurized is the upper
oil inlet, which I recommend you do in a high pressure line with fittings,
but others don't need more than hose clamps.

<< Fellow AUDI TurboNuts,

I'm in the process of installing the hybrid turbo. Can I use the fittings
off the old turbo if they are in good condition, as they seem to be. I was
just going to make up some new lines, using the old fittings. In fact one
of the cooing lines is relatively new, but uses flex hose.

In case I want to have new lines & fittings made locally, do you guys know
what fittings I should specify for both turbo oil and cooling lines - eg.
dia/size, threads, type= compression or ??? What do you call the flange
 type fittings.

 TIA for assistance.
