help! '82 bad ground

could be at the connections on the back of the fuse box.  My power
supply for the parking light circuits melted/burned out and had to be
rewired... so many years ago I don't really remember how.  All three
parking light circuits (left, right, interior) would flake on and off,
together, pretty much randomly.

Though why your reverse lights fix it ... I was gonna say I don't know,
but you probably have poor grounds at the tailight cluster as well and
the backup light power is returning to ground thru all the other wiring
and bulbs.  perhaps.
