Re ultranators

    I would not be happy about receiving a rebuilt alternator with worn
slip-rings. They have a life span (albeit a lengthy one ) but they will
eventually wear through and your alternator then needs a rebuild. To say
nothing of the longer than designed extension of the brushes to bridge the
gap before they wear out. Who would be happy about buying a rebuilt unit
where one of the wearing parts is half worn out?
