Hi all,
just wanted to share this with you, i have just come back from New Year's at
my sisters in the north of England, both journey's on heavily salted/gritted
motorways. The wheel's i have on my coupe q are not the original's they are
an aftermarket 5 spoke (fitted by the PO not me), now i noticed a few times
that after driving for a while without the need for braking, when i did i
got a really brake judder, a few hard applications of brakes no judder.
When i came to wash the car this pm i all the crud on the wheels fell off as
i hosed it down, including on the inside of the rim, now i can only assume
all this crap was going of the disc and pad before hitting the inside of
rim.
BTW this is the first car i have ever owned with wheels that are not the
original, i am just wondering if the open design of the rim caused my
braking problem.
Iain
