semi-related: snow spiders

Has to do a lot with how modern cars are designed in order to reduce
aerodynamic losses.
Smaller gaps between wheels and wheel fenders, less space in the wheel
wells, all these create far less turbulence to the air stream.

But on the other hand leaves no space for snow chains.

On the RS2 snow chains are a practical no-no with the regular size of tyres
and rims. Only if you change to thinner tyres and 16 inches rims you can use
snow chains.

Take care
Pantelis
