type 44 fogging no spring solution

I never even thought to try the dealer. I just went down to my local
hardware store and matched the broken spring up as closely as I could to a
new one. I do not remember having to cut or bend the new spring, but if I
did that is easy enough with simple tools for these little springs. Both of
my type 44's have air flap springs from the hardware store.
